Hudak Will End McGuinty’s Spending and Waste
TORONTO — Today, Ontario PC Leader Tim Hudak and Michael Lende, Ontario PC candidate for Don Valley East, visited the home of Allen and Minda MacKinnon to discuss the challenges facing Ontario families under Dalton McGuinty. Hudak announced that an Ontario PC government will provide relief to families by putting an end to Dalton McGuinty’s waste, out-of-control spending, and bureaucratic bloat.
Since 2003, Dalton McGuinty has increased government spending by 80%, while the private sector – which pays for government growth – only grew by 10%. With the private sector unable to pay for his reckless spending, waste, and sweetheart deals, Dalton McGuinty repeatedly raised taxes on Ontario families and single-handedly doubled Ontario’s debt to pay for them.
On October 6th, Ontario families face a clear choice. They can choose four more years of Dalton McGuinty, who will continue to waste their money and raise their taxes to pay for it, or they can choose a Tim Hudak government that will get the size of government under control, reduce the number of government ministries and agencies, and make sure government lives within its means, just like hardworking families do every day.
