THEFTS SOLVED
Since July 4th there have been several thefts and thefts from vehicles in the downtown area where windows have been smashed to gain access. On July 13th at 1:20PM a vehicle on the 200 block of Main St E had a window smashed and a purse taken. At 1:30 PM a man was arrested on the 300 block of Main St E in possession of that purse and a subsequent search of his person revealed items belonging to several previous victims. Robert Larviere 51yrs of no fixed address has been charged with 5 counts of mischief, 4 counts of theft, and 3 counts of Possession of stolen property and resists arrest. He was held in custody for a bail hearing. Cst Scott MacFarlane is investigating.

CAR ROLLED
At 1:50 AM 14th July a lone male was observed to start rocking a Toyota Yaris that was parked on the 100 block of Oak St E. Once the male got enough momentum from the rocking he managed to roll the vehicle onto its right side. The man then stood back seemed to observe his handiwork, then almost as an afterthought, realized what he had done, and ran eastbound towards the bus terminal. He is described as white, 25 to 30 yrs old, dark hair, tall and thin, wearing a gray T shirt, blue jeans and running shoes. Damage to the right side of the vehicle was extensive.
